Multi-AGV Flexible Manufacturing Cell Scheduling Considering Charging

Because of their flexibility, controllability and convenience, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) have gradually gained popularity in intelligent manufacturing because to adaptability, controllability, simplicity. We examine the relationship between AGV scheduling tasks, charging thresholds, power consumption, order address issue how affects flexible units with multiple AGVs. Aiming promote AGVs load balance reduce times while meeting customer demands, we establish a model objective minimizing maximum completion time based on process sequence limitations, processing restrictions, workpiece transportation constraints. In accordance model’s characteristics, code machine, workpiece, independently, solve using genetic algorithm, adjust crossover mutation operator, incorporate an elite retention strategy population initialization improve diversity. Calculation examples are used marginal utility number electricity validate efficiency viability model. The results show that AVGs effectively scheduled complete tasks wait time. multi-AGV cell can also help decision makers seek by simulation, times, decrease final unit. addition, utilization be maximized when fleet size is 20%-40% workpieces.
